A broader view of support

PBS is a big part of what we do – but it’s not all we do. Supporting Positively works with providers on a range of interconnected areas, using the capable environments framework. This creates better environments, better support and better lives.

Our areas of support include:

Who we work with

Our work is designed to flex to the needs of different services. Here are two of the most common provider types we support:

“It’s about helping the people who do the work everyday – working with them to develop systems that work”

Schools & Education Settings

Leaders and SEN teams looking to embed whole-school approaches to behaviour and inclusion.

Who you are

Principals, SEN Leads, Assistant Heads, Inclusion Leads

  • Consistent behaviour support across the school
  • Better systems for monitoring, reflection and response
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Reducing pressure from inspections (e.g. Ofsted, CQC)
  • Limited time, competing priorities
  • PBS seen as only relevant to SEND
  • Lack of clarity on what ‘whole-school’ change means

Supporting Providers | FAQs

Do you only support services using PBS?

No — while Positive Behaviour Support is a core part of our expertise, we work with a wide range of organisations to embed systems to improve the quality of support. We tailor our input to what’s most helpful for your service.

We work with adult and children’s care providers, supported living services, education settings (including mainstream and special schools), and other organisations supporting people with additional needs. If you’re unsure whether we’re the right fit, just ask — we’re always happy to advise.

Absolutely. We support organisations at all stages — whether you’re completely new to PBS, or already have elements in place and want to strengthen or scale. We’ll meet you where you are and help you plan the next steps forward.

Both options are available. We are happy to work collaboratively with you to complete the capable environments tool to understand where high quality is being delivered and what could be improved. We can offer short-term input or longer-term partnerships to embed the recommendations. We’ll always work with you to agree on the right approach for your goals and resources.

Our pricing is flexible and depends on the type and level of support needed. We’re happy to provide a no-obligation initial conversation to understand your needs and offer options that deliver value for your team and budget.

We provide both. Some services benefit from on-site visits, while others prefer remote input — or a mix of the two. We’ll discuss what works best for your context and staff team.

Yes — all of our team are UKBA(cert)s and members of the UKSBA, as well as holding active PSA accreditation. Our training is CPD accredited and we are licensed to provide BCBA CEUs and UKSBA APDs.
